I used other people’s pod- and vodcasts in my classes. So, I encourage your endeavor. Are you considering simply recording and broadcasting all your lectures, or doing something else? I created some podcast-like downloads for some projects. For example, you can hear some of my students giving reviews of material at this link: http://www.brucesabin.com/biology/unit1.html
I have considered doing more, even having students create short reviews for every section that could then be used by my students or students/teachers from around the world (since some of my classes used an international curriculum).
